English Premier League (EPL) “run – away” winners, Manchester City’s undefeated run in the 2017/2018 season, has ended after a 4-3 dramatic defeat to Klopp’s Liverpool FC on Sunday January 14th 2018 at The Anfield.
Manchester City FC went a record 22 games unbeaten in this season EPL before this 2nd leg encounter with Liverpool FC. The 1st leg saw Manchester City beating Liverpool 5-0 at The Etihad stadium.
An early strike in the 9th minute by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put Liverpool in front till Leroy Sané scored an amazing equalizer in the 40th minute for Manchester City FC. Liverpool upped their game in the second half to secure the victory with goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah.
Manchester City FC didn’t give up as they scored twice in the last 10 minutes of the game, with goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gündogan at the 84th and 90th minute respectively.
This results will see Liverpool climb to the 3rd position of the league with 47 points and Chelsea drops down to 4th place.
