Inter Milan have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah on a free transfer from Juventus.
The 29-year-old agreed a three-year deal with the Nerazzurri which keeps him at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza until June 2021 after rejecting an offer to sign a new deal with the current Seria A champions.
Kwadwo Asamoah joined Juventus from Udinese in July 2012. After featuring in 156 games and scoring 5 goals across all competitions in his six seasons at Juventus, he leaves Turin with six Seria A titles, four Coppa Italia winner’s medals, three Italian Super cups and two UEFA Champions league runners-up medals.
Kwadwo Asamoah who can also play as a left back aside playing in the middle of the park becomes Inter Milan’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
“Inter can announce that a contract has been agreed with Kwadwo Asamoah that will run from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2021,” the club announced via their official website.
“Now, a new chapter is starting for Kwadwo with the Nerazzurri. Welcome Asamoah and best of luck for this adventure at Inter!”
Kwadwo Asamoah has so far made 69 appearances and scored four goals for Ghana but has not played since 2014.
