Kotoko players to pocket GH¢1,000 each

Each Asante Kotoko player will pocket GH¢1,000 as winning bonus for beating rivals Hearts of Oak 1-0 in Accra on Monday in the Ghana Premier League derby clash.

The club’s owner and Life Patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made the pledge last Saturday when he handed over the keys to a new 30-seater Yutong bus to them at the Manhyia Palace.

Hearts goalkeeper Abdoualaye Soulama scored a world-class own goal to hand Kotoko victory.

Kotoko came into the game as underdogs but went home as the favourites puppies.

They lost 1-0 at home last week to bottom-club New Edubiase United while Hearts went to Obuasi to stun AshantiGold 2-1.
