Dr Arthur Kennedy of the NPP has mentioned that recent mob violence in the country is inspired by the June 4th uprising and the 31ST December massacre led by Former Jerry John Rawlings.
He was speaking from the United States of America in an interview with Pinknews’ Akwasi Addo.
According to him, those violence attacks are what have yielded into what we are seeing now.
“ Like the Execution of soldiers without trials, a lot of people sentenced, curfews and the most famous Kumbungu incidence where 4 NPP activist were beheaded and the Kumipreko demonstration led by Akufo Addo where 5 civilians who were involved in a protest were shot in broad-day light”.
He added that, NDC should be blamed if we are having mob violence recently in our country since they share part of the responsibility however, the government in power must make sure the laws are enforced and people protected.
“I’m just saying that the June 4th,31st December movement helped to establish and encourage mob violence, they made it more acceptable, so they bear some of the responsibility for these recent mob violence but the government of the day must solve the problems of the day”.
