JONCARING FOUNDATION SCHOOLS CIVIL SOCIETY GROUPS

IMG_20160614_135411Civil Society Groups have been educated on the need to register their organisations in order to get the necessary support and recognition in their activities.

They have also been urged to be well equipped with modern ways of presenting their cases before authorities in order to gain the attention they
need wherever they go.

This came to light at a two-day workshop organised for Civil Society Groups within the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region by Joncaring Foundation in Begoro on the theme: “Promoting Effective Decentralised
Governance And Social Accountability : The Role Of The Civil Society”.

Facilitator of the Workshop, Isaac Abrokwa, in an interview with the PINKNEWS‘, Nana Adjei, said the workshop is being organised across the country with the aim of assisting groups with modern knowledge to help them work efficiently

He was moreover optimistic it would go a long way to improve performance of the various groups especially in terms of presenting proposals for approval or consideration.

The Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, John Agbegah, also advised participants to challenge themselves all the time in order to reach higher heights.

He expressed gratitude to Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) for their continuous support over the years.
