Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, a hiplife artiste popularly known as Mzbel has said as an artiste, it is required of you to live a visually impressive life.
Mzbel backed her statement explaining that because fans see celebrities to be distinguished above others, they tend to judge whatever they do, be it a right or wrong doing. Therefore, they should be careful on how they carry themselves about.
The prominent female artiste added that, artistes do not need to dress and live like regular people. It is generally assumed that musicians, with regards to their high standards, do not need to be characterised with a shabby life. One needs not to be seen as a regular person if considered a star.
“The moment you become a star your standard of living changes, the least thing you do goes viral so you have to present yourself in the best suitable way before you appear in the limelight”, Mzbel said.
Mzbel also claimed the music industry is not profitable as it used to be. According to her, artistes only get money when they play shows and star in adverts or when their songs are being used for promos. In view of this, one has to solely strive for his or her own greatness in order to make ends meet.
Defending her claim, the controversial musician included that the fans will always hit hard on any artiste who wears fake stuff and lives an unappealing lifestyle. In turn, they should also work hard not to appear shabby but with a flamboyant lifestyle.
