John Quayson, a Lawyer, Sports Administrator, and also Secretary for the Coaches Administration expresses his opinion on the injunction placed on the FA and its officials.
The Attorney General yesterday served the court with a case of the judges helping place an injunction on the FA officials from operating following the corrupt practices of some officials which was featured in the number 12 investigative film conducted by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
This film featured most of the FA staff members and of course the FA President which as a result were sacked from office by the government after the exposé.
The court granted the Attorney General to put an injunction on the FA officials from operation and as at now the place has been locked down till further notice.
Following this, Mr. Quayson declared that, the injunction on the FA officials is not necessary therefore Federation of International Football Association(FIFA) has given the government the go ahead to continue with the football process but the back and forth of this whole thing is not necessary.
He also stated that, “ If some people have been involved in some corrupt practice, the government has the power to arrest or invite them for questioning and further sanctions or further legal actions taken against them”.
The sports administrator added that, “the government must put in place measures, which these measures can take some few weeks, so they can commence football very soon and put a stop to the everyday meetings, it is not necessary, which that is not what the people want”.
The court has appointed the Registry of Companies to liquidate the previous registration from 2005 and reinstate a new one after the investigation and a registered one of course.
