The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) evening encounter with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), originally slated for Tuesday, July 5, 2016, has been rescheduled.
A statement from the IEA explained that “This postponement is due to circumstances beyond our control and we regret the inconvenience this may have caused.”
According to the statement, signed by Mr Felix Ankrah, Programmes Officer, the IEA is well aware of the interest the evening encounters had generated in the public domain.
Indeed, the statement further said the Institute had received countless requests from organisations and individuals to pose questions to presidential candidates at the evening encounters. Additionally, there have been numerous requests for invitations, it pointed out.
The statement said a new date would be announced soon.
