HIGH RATE OF CLIMATE CHANGE TO HAVE BAD IMPACT IN THE FUTURE.

Deputy Minister of Environment, Patricia Appiagyei has disclosed that issues concerning climate change is at the rise in as much some citizens do not understand the emerging changes in climate change.

According to her, the high rate of climate change if not addressed well, will have bad impact in the future.

Hon. Appiagyei indicated that, in taking the right action to curb the high rate of climate change, government commitment is vigorously needed towards the fight. It is also important to engage stakeholders and individuals to play their parts.

She disclosed this to Pink FM reporter Anita NY Frimpong at the UNU-INRA Outreach and review of the IPCC report on climate change at the University of Ghana.

 

On his part President of Africa Academy and Science, Felix Dapare Dakora stated that, for Africa to solve climate change issues there is therefore the need to engage the youth in the country, train some of them in the area of environment to act as champions and propagate the good message .

He also emphasized on the need for African countries to redirect and shape the economy towards an improved GDP through the use of technology in resolving climate change issues.
