It’s been confirmed on Tuesday morning that Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has won the August Premier League player of the month award.
Hazard beat off competition from Hull’s Curtis Davies, Man City’s Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia.
In total, Hazard received 41% of the public vote, while Valencia was second with 34%.
There’s no doubt that Hazard now seems a completely different player to the one who turned out for Chelsea last season.
During August, Hazard scored two Premier League goals. They came in wins against West Ham and Burnley.
Moreover, the Belgium international completed 17 take-ons, he had a 58% shot accuracy, he had 14 shots over the course of the month, while he made 152 successful passes in Chelsea’s three opening EPL matches.
Chelsea, of course, have won their first three matches of the season along with Manchester United and Man City.
