GHANA’S NADIA EKE QUALIFIED FOR WORLD CHAMPS WITH NEW NATIONAL RECORD.

Nadia Eke qualified for the International Association of Athletics Federation world champs in Qatar. The triple jumper also qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games with a new national record.

The 2016 African champion broke the triple jump national record. This too with a huge personal best of 14.33m (+0.8). And her first jump at the 2019 Racer/Adidas Grand Prix in Jamaica.

The old record stood at 13.93m which Miss Eke herself set back in 2017. The 26-year-old former Columbia University student becomes the 3rd Ghanaian to qualify. The individual events of the World Champs will be in Qatar. And this is starting in late September.

She joins sprinters Josephine Anokye and Joseph Amoah.They also made the cut mark last month……………..Story by Pascaline Tengey.
