GFA congratulates Ethics Committee Chairman on promotion to COP

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has congratulated Chairman of the Ethics Committee C.O.P Nathan Kofi Boakye on his promotion to the position of Commissioner of Police.

Until his recent promotion, the GFA Ethics Committee who is also the Regional Police Commander for the Ashanti Region, was a Deputy Commissioner of the Ghana Police.

A Congratulatory letter signed by Acting General Secretary to COP Boakye stated that: “I write on behalf of the President and the Executive Committee  to congratulate you on the occasion of your promotion from a Deputy to a Commissioner  of the Ghana Police.

“We thank God for bringing you this far and it is our hope that this promotion would urge you on to give up your usual best in the Service for our dear nation Ghana.

“Once again we say congratulations to you and please accept the assurances of our highest consideration”.

COP Nathan Kofi Boakye was recently elevated to the position of Chairman of the Ethics Committee after serving as Vice Chairman of the committee for years.

He also represented the GFA at a FIFA Conference for Ethics Committees which was held in Cairo.
