GES CAUTIONS HEADS OF SCHOOLS AGAINST PREVENTING OWING STUDENTS FROM WRITING EXAMS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned heads of the various second cycle schools against preventing students who owe school fees from writing exams.

Candidates of the various Senior High Schools have begun the West Africa Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which is organized by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

In a statement issued by the director general of the GES, Prof. Kwasi Poku-Amankwa, heads of the Senior High Schools are warned not to send students who owe school fees home or prevent them from writing their exams.

The statement also urged all Regional Directors to ensure strict compliance with the directive.
