KEN AGYAPONG REFUSES TO APOLOGISE OVER ‘sex for job’ COMMENT

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyapong has refused to apologise to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei for his recent comments that she traded sex for her position.

Gender activists and a section of the public have criticized Mr Agyapong for the insulting comment with many flaking him hugely.

Some have accused him of debasing womanhood with his utterances, condemned him and demanded an unqualified apology and a retraction of the statement.

There have also been calls on the NPP to publicly condemn the party financier but the “Elephant family” was yet to comment on the issue.

Responding to the condemnations on Adom FM, the outspoken Mr Agyapong dared his critics and said the fact that she was a woman does not mean she should not be told the truth.

“If a woman is misbehaving and you say it, they say because she is a woman so we shouldn’t say it. Is a woman not a human being?” he questioned.

He argued that people do not want to hear the truth and said he will expose the EC chair if anyone dared him.

He said all those criticising and asking him to apologize have not seen the need to condemn a Montie FM host for insulting his person every blessed day on his programme.

“…nobody is saying anything. When I respond then you say that I have taken the law into my own hands. If they dare me, I will reveal more. The woman’s posture and attitude, we have to let people know who she is… if they dare me, I will reveal, read my lips.” he said.

“When they were talking about me, insulting me all this while peace council and other bodies have not said anything, so when i respond they say i have taken the law into my own hands.”

Mr Agyapong made his comments about the EC boss when he addressed NPP supporters at Asokwa, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region at the weekend.
