Former Black Stars Player To Appear In Court Tomorrow

Police are set to charge and arraign former Black Stars Defender John Painstil before court following his arrest and detention for assaulting an officer and allegedly stealing his wife’s vehicle.
Mr Painstil was placed in police custody Tuesday, May 24, for assaulting a cop and allegedly stealing his wife’s car.
The former Fulham Star was invited by the East Legon police over a complaint by his wife that he had stolen his vehicle.
But, Mr. Painstil became angry during interrogation and hit the district police commander and the investigator.
Public Relations Officer at the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, ASP Afia Tenge told Pink Sports that the Regional Police Commander has asked the District Commander to step aside for the District Crime Officer to handle the case.
ASP Tengey said this is because he now a party to the case.
