ELECTRICITY SHOCK KILLS MOTHER AND SON IN TARKWA

A 36 year old trader, Aba Arthur, and her two sons have been electrocuted. The deceased woman and her 16 year old son Peter Nsiah lost their lives in the incident while the other son, Assian Ewula is still on admission at the hospital.

The incident happened at their residence in Tarkwa Na Aboso in the Western region. According to the municipal police commander, Superintendent Thomas Osei Ababio, the incident was reported to them around 6:00am by the assembly member of the community. He lamented that, his team vacated to the scene immediately after receiving the information.

On their arrival they discovered that the deceased woman used a disconnected cable as fence where she dried her clothes on. This cable was fixed around a Multi TV dish and apparently she was in the process of drying her clothes when the incident occurred.

Superintendent Ababio said the sons of the deceased rush outside to help their mother when they heard her scream but they also got electrocuted.

He said they were all taken to the Apinto Government Hospital and Tarkwa Municipal Hospital, but Peter and his mother did not survive.

Assian Ewula is at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital receiving treatment.
