DR. FELIX ANYAH OFFICIALLY HANDS OVER AFTER HIS TERMINATION OF APPOINMENT

The outgoing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Dr. Felix Anyah has officially handed over the management of the hospital to Dr. Samuel Asiamah, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the hospital on Monday June 11, after the termination of Dr. Felix Anyah by President Akufo-Addo.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony which was organized to enable him bid a farewell to the Korle-Bu staff after his termination, Dr. Anyah voiced that, he is proud of his achievements during his one year tenure of office although his termination came as a surprise.

“As a private sector businessman my line of thinking was restructuring the system to be able to manage emerging difficulties. However, my Team and I in the absence of a Board for the best one year managed to restore the oxygen supply system to generate oxygen within and reduce the dependence on vendors, with this the hospital is now saving between ¢80,000 and ¢100,000 by repairing its own oxygen plant, ” he spelt out.

He again stated that, “I also ensured that digital telephone system was installed to improve communication in the hospital, restored security lighting on the main streets within the hospital and many more”.

Management and staff of the hospital commended Dr. Anyah for his awesome contribution towards the development of the Korle-Bu Hospital.

The dismissal of Dr. Anyah had initially led to a demonstration by some staff members of the hospital to seek reasons for his termination by the president but they were later calmed and had returned to their duties after Dr. Anyah’s acceptance of termination.
