Kofi Amoako Sensen, a 55 year old man has been lynched to death at a drinking spot for allegedly stealing GHC 1, 50 pesewas.

This incident which comes as a shock to many especially at a time when there is a mass campaign against mob action following the lynching to death of Captain Maxwell Mahama, happened at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East district in the Central region.

Brother of the deceased, Akwesi Boadi who confirmed the tragedy to Pink news explained that his brother was asked by the owner to see some customers in her stead after he has finished his own drink but was later accused by that same owner of stealing an amount of GHC 1, 5O pesewas from her.

Even though the deceased had strongly denied, the lady raised alrm which led residents to rush to the spot and started beating him up.

Kofi Amoako who was vomiting blood after the beating was rushed to the St Gregory Hospital at Budumburam by some good samaritans but died a short-while at the hospital.

The family has since reported the case to the Awutu Bereku police but the attackers and the owner have currently absconded.
