Where it emerged that, the Ghana Premier League referee Samuel Sukah accepted a healthy sum of money Gh 2000 to dishonestly arrange for the result of the match fixed between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak in favor of the Phobians.
Samuel Sukah who officiated the match at the Accra sport Stadium awarded a penalty in favor of Hearts of Oak in the 84th minute of the game.
Vincent Atinga stepped up to convert the spot kick which ensured all three points leading to their win. The referee Samuel Sukah being the main referee took 2000 Ghana cedis where Eric Nantiere and Salifu Rahman being his two assistants both pocketed Ghc 1500 each. The match ended with victory on the side of Hearts of Oak defeating Asante Kotoko.
Kennedy Sarfo Adade first assistant referee was captured more than 3 times in the video of Anas Aremeyaw Anas receiving huge sums of money to rule in favor of the Phobians. He said: “we have been in this game for long and we know what goes in and out. We usually take money ( bribe ) and rule in favor of those teams that pays the money to win. We dishonestly arranged the scores and win of the games”.
