Chief of Gomoa Ayensuadze Begs Government for Development

Chief of Gomoa Ayensuadze, Nana Akyepanyin IV has bemoaned the seemingly neglect of his town in the area of development.

The Chief who spoke at the Akwambo festival on Saturday prayed government to as a matter of urgency grace the township with a slice of the national cake.

According to him the road network leading to the town is in a very poor state making navigation difficult. Owing to that fact, residents have no option than to hire the services of okada riders who charge exorbitant prices for their service.He also called on government to provide a health center in the community since the townfolks presently travel to Agona Swedru and other communities for healthcare.

On education, the Chief called for the assistance of government in the quest of the community to put up a school block.

He seized the opportunity to admonish the youth in the community to eschew acts of violence and usage of drugs.

After five years break, this is the first time the Akwanbo festival has been celebrated in Gomoa Ayensuadze. The festival saw in attendance dignitaries and various personalities. Townfolks were elated that after such a long break they could celebrate once again their adored festival which is a proud heritage.
