The former Member of Parliament for Berekum Constituency, Captain (Rtd) Kwame Nkrabea Effa Darteh, is very keen on making Berekum Traditional Area one of the popular cities in the country to improve development.
He reassured the Berekum Traditional Area that he will keep every promise he made while he was in office. According to him, it was his goal to make Berekum one of popular cities in the country to attract investors for development.
He made his intentions known to the Paramount Chief of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II, when he was addressing them on his visit to the place.
He stated that it was part of his project map to construct a trade fair center, vocational technical school and a university for Berekum. Even though he is currently out of office, he is very poised to fulfill every single promise.
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Minister for Local Governance and Rural Development has also vowed to put up an ultra-modern clinic at Domfete, a suburb of Berekum.
He added that funding is on the way to construct a sick-bay for St. Augustine’s Senior High School to improve healthcare delivery.
Captain (Rtd) Effa Darteh promised again to construct a sport complex for Jinijini SHS to enhance sporting activities.
