C/R – EXPLOSION RAVAGES K.T INVESTMENT COMPANY INTO ASHES IN APRAH

An explosion which occurred early this morning at K.T Investment Company at Aprah in the Awutu Senya West Constituency has ravaged half of the company into ashes.

The incident which occurred around 3am at Aprah near the Liberian Camp left six workers injured. According to one of the victims, the accident happened when they were on their normal duties.

He added that they heard an explosion from one of the machines and quickly rushed to the scene. However, upon reaching the scene, another heavy explosion occurred which carried 6 workers away from the main building.

“We started work at 7pm so around 3:30am I told my colleagues that I want to rest for a while minutes. After some few minutes, our leader told one of the workers that he has seen fire so he should check it out. In a twinkle of an eye, we heard a heavy explosion which carried us with force and brought us outside”, he narrated.

Meanwhile, information collected by PinkNews’ Mireku Nyampong reveals that the management of the company refused to call fire service for assistance. The cause of the explosion has since not been discovered.

Moreover, efforts by PinkNews to reach the management of the company still remain futile.
