The Amanfrom community along the Kasoa road has many unused lands. Most of these lands are very bushy and seems dangerous to people around them. This community is very large and has a lot big lands in it. Every part of the community that one moves into, there’s a building and next to it is a bushy unused land.
Some of these unused
lands have building but they haven’t been completed and left for grasses to grow in them. This grass is left to grow and becomes a bush which affects others. This bush breeds mosquitoes and it becomes worse when it rains. They also host frogs that make noises in the evenings.
These bushy lands have snakes too in them and this makes it unsafe for even little children around. People in the community also complained about the cases of armed robbery. Where these lands serve as cover for the robbers to hide in and attack their victims.
This makes it unsafe to walk alone after the hours of 8:00pm due to fear of being attacked. Even though there’s a security post in the community, the bushy unused are still a problem because they’re many.
These entire situations serve as threat to the people in the community. Residents therefore plead with the Assembly to see to it the owners of such lands work on it.
