Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has angrily reacted a report by an Kasoa-based radio station that he had imported arms and machetes for the biggest opposition party New Patriotic Party ahead of November’s general elections.
The host of Global Sports on Pink FM, Afefe De Mayor 1, made the allegations.
Gyan, who plays for Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, is alleged to be funding the NPP to topple the National Democratic Congress.
From his base in China, Gyan watered down those comments and described them as irresponsible.
