OUR APPROACH WAS WRONG-SAVELUGU NPP YOUTH APOLOGIZES.

Youth of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Savelugu constituency of the Northern Region,have remorsefully apologized to President Nana Akuffo Addo for their initial stance against the Savelugu/Nantong Municipal Chief Executive.

The NPP youth through several demonstrations over the past weeks threaten to vote against Nana Addo in the 2020 election if actoins were not taken against the nomination of Hajia Ayishetu Seidu’s as the MCE and her subsequent confirmation.

They have however backed down on their protest while apologizing to the President for their initial actions and threats.

The Savelugu constituency NPP Communications Director, Abubakari Sadiq Sulemana, at a news conference said, “We appologize to the President for protest and demonstration for several weeks though we believe our message was important. we now concede our approach was wrong. Our commitment to the Akuffo Addo government is still intact and unwavering. We will continue to work with all stakeholders in the governance process to ensure the success of this government.”

This followed a government meditation team led by a Minister of State at the Presidency in charge of National Security, Brian Acheampong,s ability to solve the political deadlock there.

Abubakari Sadiq further stressed that, the President, Vice and the entire party leadership should be assured that they will not do anything to derail the efforts of government to make Ghana a safe haven for investors. Adding that they will work harmoniously with Hajia Ayishetu as MCE to ensure that vision and programs of government is implemented for the benefit of the the Savelugu/ Nanatong people.

The Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed commended the youth and the party’s bigwigs in the two constituency for reasoning with the president’s plea while entreating Hajia Ayishetu Seidu to strengthen her relationship with the residents.
