The Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Party has threatened to forgo politics if the New Patriotic Party [NPP] is able to build a single factory in the next four years to come.
According to Anthony Nukpenu he said,
“I will quit politics if the New Patriotic Party is able to build even one factory within the next four years He said this on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen show on Monday.
The one district one factory policy was made by the NPP in its manifesto for the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The idea behind the promise dubbed one district one factory, is to boost Ghana’s industrialization by setting up at least one medium –sized factory in each of the 216 districts across the country.
However, Anthony Nukpenu is doubting if the NPP Administration can achieve this policy.
President Nana Addo Akuffo-Addo has given assurance that each of the 216 districts across the country would get a factory within the first four years of his government. It was a pledge he made during the 2016 campaign.
Surprisingly, Anthony Nukpenu still holds onto the fact that the NPP administration can never fulfilled its major promises to Ghanaians to the extent of quitting politics if the NPP government builds even one factory within the next four years.
