ALLOWANCES WILL BE PAID IN INSTALLMENT- Y.E.A C.E.O

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (Y.E.A), Justin Kodua has assured beneficiaries of the agency that their allowances will be ready by the end of tomorrow.

This move turned out just when the beneficiaries of the Youth Employment Agency threatened to embark on a strike action on Friday because they have not received their monthly allowances for close to five months. As a result of serious agitations by the agency, the CEO has assured them of getting their allowances by tomorrow.

Speaking in an interview on pink FM morning show,Omanbapa Kasa, he mentioned that their allowances have been transferred to ADB to be forwarded to Bank Of Ghana and will be made ready by tomorrow.

He stated that it is the validation process that has delayed the allowance payment since the agency wants to clear all ghost names in the allowance list and ensure that those being paid have accurate documents.

However he has assured that,” if the allowances come and your name does not appear in the list while you know you have valid documents that warrants you as part of the agency but wasn’t available during the headcount, you can see the authorities, systems have been put in place to monitor all beneficiaries so as to pay them accordingly”.

He on the other hand added that, the allowances will be paid in installment  thus,it only covering that of the first two months but promises to settle that of the other months.

He ended by commending all beneficiaries of the YEA for their patients.
