ALLOTEY JACOBS PUNCHES HARD ON BAWUMIA: ‘HE IS A THIEF’

The Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC), Benard Allotey Jacobs, has struck hard on the running mate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia by describing him as a thief.

The seasoned politician was addressing a multitude of supporters of the National Democratic Congress at a campaign rally in Kasoa, Central Region.

During his speech to the chanting crowd, he quizzed about the whereabouts of the old currency notes after the redenomination exercise carried out by the then NPP government in 2007 during which Bawumia was the deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana.

“How much did the exercise cost Ghana? Whenever the NPP’s come to you to campaign on hardships ask them about the cost of the redenomination………what I am asking is that, where was the old notes kept after the exercise…the NPP’s kept it in Nsawam and later used it for their campaign in during the 2008 elections….God has punished them” He said.

Ben Allotey Jacobs also reiterated the need to vote again for H.E John Dramani Mahama for the unprecedented developmental projects he has sanctioned across the country in which Kasoa is no exception.

“Ghana has seen tremendous development under John Dramani Mahama, Kasoa is now taking the glory of Cape Coast, you have an interchange which came with a whole lot of ancillary facilities” He said.

He stated that President Mahama could be likened to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who during his time embarked on various developmental projects in the country and hence deserves a second term as successive presidents enjoyed.

Akufo Addo Will Abandon Projects

He cautioned the multitude on voting for the NPP’s presidential nominee, Akufo Addo, since he will abandon all projects that are progressively been sanctioned by the current government led by H.E John Dramani Mahama who is running on the ticked of the NDC for a second term.
