In the state of the nation’s address, President Akufo Addo on Thursday February 8, 2018, said with the partnership of the Ministry of Inner cities and ‘Zongo’ development with the Ghana Football Association are going to build football pitches in the ‘Zongo areas’ and across the country in revival of coast football.
He stated that, the coast football has been the backbone of football development in the country. He said it has developed talents such as Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah and others.
So he said with the revival of coast football, it helps develop talents into national and international levels.
In addition, the president said the passing of the legislative instrument of the national youth and sports act and the sports college bill is in progress, and also creating of sports funds to support all sports disciplinaries which will help develop sports in the country. Story by: Odei Takyi
