ACCUSED ROBBERS POURED ACID ON A MOBILE MONEY VENDOR AT GOMOA FETTEH

Acid was poured on a moble money vendor by two robbers. Accused persons Daniel Amoah and Yaw Danso went to a mobile vendor. They went to the vendor named Kate Aidoo at Gomoa Fetteh and withdrew cash some of 10gh.

They further went away and later returned to her within a few minutes time. This time they said they were buying Vodafone credit worth 1gh.

While victim Kate Aidoo was serving them, accused Yaw Danso removed container filled with CONCENTRATED ACID and pour it on her.

The victim who sustained severe bodily burns on her face and breast shouted for help.

Afterwards the accused persons took their victims hand bag with its content. This bag contains unspecified amount of money and other items.

The accused persons were arrested and arraigned before the Kasoa Ofaakor circuit court on charges of CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT CRIME TO WIT “ROBBERY”.

The case was presided over by his lordship Ebenezer Osei Darko. After trial his judgement declared today proves the accused guilty.

The accused persons were sentenced to serve 20 years imprisonment on each count. The sentence is to run concurrent. The accused persons were sent to Nsawam Prisons accordingly.
