395 STUDENTS USE ONE COMPUTER AT GOMOA MANSO GOVERNMENT SCHOOL –ASSEMBLY MEMBER DISCLOSED.

The Assembly member for Gomoa Manso electoral area in the Gomoa Central District of Central region, Hon. Isaac Kobina Baidoo has disclosed that, over 395 school children use only one computer at Manso government school.

 

According to him, Gomoa manso has  been deprived of learning materials such as textbooks, computers and other learning materials which has over the years yielded a poor BECE results for all the students who completed.

Children  at Manso write the same BECE exams with that of Accra and Kumasi but use only one computer, he bemoaned.

A team of journalists lead by Opanyin Darko visited Manso government school and witnessed the the situation , interacting with the ICT teacher, name withheld said, even the only computer they have was donated by a Non Governmental Organization two years ago and it’s only the form three students who use for 6 months to write BECE.

 

Hon. Baidoo has appealed to the Ministry of Education to as a matter of urgency put pragmatic measures in place to supply the school computers.
