2017 YOUTH IN TOURISM CONFERENCE

The maiden Youth in Tourism Conference held last Thursday at the Coconut Regency Hotel in Accra, urged the youth of Ghana to take up a challenge of assist in promoting tourism in the country while ensuring that  conditions which would attract tourists both within and outside the country are put in place.

 

Under the theme “Realizing the 2030 agenda, the role of the youth” saw the collective tourism industry represented by youth entrepreneurs, tourism enthusiasts, youth tourism, educators, tourism stakeholders in both the private and public sectors.

Other outstanding personalities who were available at the conference includes The UN Resident Coordinator for Ghana Mrs Christine Evans- Klock, H.E Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, The Dean of Diplomatic Corps, the Deputy Australian High commissioner, The Hospitality and Tourism management Chair from St. Joseph college in Brooklyn, New York, Mr Kwadwo Antwi -GTDC boss, Mr. Tisro Dos Santos Head and Representative of UNESCO, Mrs Olivia Adomanko director of Research at the ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture, Mr Kobby Mensah Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and Mrs Delphine Brew-Hammond Director and Founder of Miss Tourism Ghana Organisation.

The conference ended on a good note as various enthusiastic participants were seen ready for a great learning experience.
